Condemn attack on Human Rights lawyer Prashant Bhusahn by Hindutva terrorists
Supreme Court unsafe from Hindutva Terrorists
Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee condemns the attack in strongest words on Human Rights lawyer by Hindutva terrorists. It is a matter of deep concern that Supreme Court is not safe from Hindutva terrorists and they entered into the premises by crossing all kinds of security. Thus, this committee states that the attack on Mr. Prashant Bhushan is actually an attack on Supreme Court’s dignity. This attack reminds us the attack on Parliament in which five unknown terrorists were killed and innocent people were targeted by police. But in this incidence one Hindutva terrorist was caught and now the question arises, how the media, judiciary, politicians and civil society will react to this incidence.
Civil Liberties believe that attack on Prashant Bhushan is a pre-planned and part of greater conspiracy of Hindutva to terrorize the people who are against their ideology. To consider this as pre-planned, it is not so easy to enter the premises of the Supreme Court. Any person who wants to enter the premises of Supreme Court, have to produce a pass or a letter from any lawyer of the court. Entrance to the Supreme court by the terrorists of Sri Ram Sena, one can say that even the Supreme Court is not safe from the clutches of Hindutva terrorists. It is their practice to attack on common and armless people by threatening, assaulting and creating fear. They are working on Hitler’s ideology. By attacking Prashant Bhushan on premises of Supreme Court, they have given a signal that they can do any kind of act anywhere in the country and no one can stop them.
Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee states that this is the high time for the Indian government to think over its soft corner on Hindutva terrorism and the organizations that are related to this terror network.. Government of India should review its policy on internal security which is under threat due to this Hindutva Terrorism. This committee believes that freedom of speech is the fundamental right assured by the Constitution of India. Talking on the issue of Kashmir is not a crime; instead it is an expression of humanity towards them. It is often seen that those who are speaking against Armed Forces Special Powers Act, violation of human rights, rights of the Kashmir people on self-determination, are under attack; this has become a culture of Hindutva.
We demand Indian government to take this matter seriously and conduct judicial enquiry by a sitting judge of Supreme Court to know how the Hindutva terrorists entered into the premises of Supreme Court. It should also expose the larger conspiracy behind this attack. Here we question Indian government as to why it is mum on Hindutva terrorism. The ‘Sri Ram Sena’ in recent days attacked many Muslims, Hindus and Christians. Even after this the government is not taking any steps to control them or firm legal action against them from doing any further harmful activities. In fact they are getting all kinds of facilities and protection from government agencies. This is the double standard of the government which will sink the Indian democracy.
Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee again repeats that the right to self-determination is the fundamental right of the Kashmiri people and demands the government of India to respect it.

Women are supposed to be very calm generally: but women feel just as men feel...they suffer from too rigid a restraint, too absolute a stagnation, precisely as men would suffer...It is thoughtless to condemn them, or laugh at them, if they seek to do more or learn more than custom has pronounced necessary for their sex.
