Apologize Muslims unconditionally in the Assembly

Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy should apologize Muslims unconditionally in the Assembly
Should take practical steps instead of mouth word promises and Iftari announcements
Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee in its statements said that in the recent days, Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statements are appearing in the news on Muslims. Civil Liberties believe that all these statements are mouth word promises and false. The government did not release a government order nor did it take legal action against the tainted police officers, it did not even instruct to take action against them. One thing the government had done is that, it is protecting the accused police officers by appointing the senior advocates to protect and defend them in every court. If at all the state government is serious about this issue, and if at all the Chief Minister has any concern towards the Muslim youth, then his first priority should have been to apologize Muslims unconditionally. Because, the then government of Mr. Rajshekhar Reddy had labeled the Bomb blast incident on Muslims and it had targeted not only few hundred Muslims, but the whole Muslim community. The emotions of Muslims were hurt not a single time but many times. Hence, the demand of Civil Liberties to Chief Minister is to apologize unconditionally to Muslims and pass resolutions of apology in the Assembly. Through Assembly it should be assured that this mistake will not be repeated in future.
This is necessary because in the same assembly, the then Chief Minister Mr. Rajshekhar Reddy and Home Minister, Mr. Jana Reddy held the Muslims responsible for these bomb blasts and spoke in favour of those arrests of Muslim youth.
Civil Liberties committee demands the Chief Minister the following:
1. It should get approval of apology in the Assembly so that the apology is addressed in proper sense.
2. Andhra Pradesh State Minority Commission report on Illegal detention, and torture of Muslim youth prepared by Advocate Ravi Chander should be tabled before the Assembly.
3. The government is defending the accused police officers by appointing the top most lawyers against the compensation suit of Muslim youth filed in the City Civil Court, and it is showing the policemen responsible for torture as “unknown”. The congress government should present all these police officers in the court.
4. Muslim youth have been acquitted by the court but the cases are still open and in these cases hundreds of youth are still shown as absconding. Government should immediately close these cases.
5. Muslim women were put behind bars and slapped cases on them. Five lakh rupees of surety were given to bring back those women from the jail. The government should apologize the Muslim women and withdraw the cases and return the surety amount.
The nexus between the Hyderabad and Gujarat police should be exposed. Action should be taken against the policemen involved in the Sohrabuddin murder.
With these practical steps only, the government’s seriousness would be known; otherwise it will be assumed that Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is making Muslims fool with the Iftari announcements (announcements made in the Iftar parties).

Women are supposed to be very calm generally: but women feel just as men feel...they suffer from too rigid a restraint, too absolute a stagnation, precisely as men would suffer...It is thoughtless to condemn them, or laugh at them, if they seek to do more or learn more than custom has pronounced necessary for their sex.
